Menopause

During the menopause the ovaries reduce their hormone production little by little, and over time fertility gradually diminishes. The menopause covers a period of around ten years and this phase can be divided up into three stages: Pre, peri and post-menopause.

The duration of the individual stages and the transition between these differs from one woman to another.
